We learned about the face today, and all the different sayings/names:

Le visage – The face – A more artistic word

La tête – The head – Can be used to say ‘the face’

La mine – The appearance/expression

Mine de rien – (Literally) The appearance of nothing – Inscrutable look on one’s face.

Passé composé

Auparavant cette semaine, ‘Madame X’ nous a enseignés le passé composée: Voici trois phrases pour vos plaisir:
Ce Lundi j’ai mangé en ville avec mon amie, c’etait super

Ce weekend dernier, j’ai regardé la coupe du monde avec mon pére, c’était fantastique

Ce samedi, je suis allé dans un restaurant avec ma famille, c’était nui.

Our teacher, ‘Madame X’ as she is known on my blog showed us a ‘primary school sheet’ in which French students would be learning about right now! It was about papillons. Not the dogs, but butterflies! Pretty, pretty pretty pretty butterflies!

We struggled (understatement) with these five phrases/words:

• il faut (he must)
• s’occuper (occupy yourself)
• déplaçons (move something to another place)
• deviendront (from devenir, will become)
• en attendant (in waiting)

Porté disparu – masculin singulier

Portée disparue – feminin singulier
Portées disparues – feminin pluriel
Il traduit à, ‘gone or reported missing’ en anglais.

Une chose qui a été portée disparue est MA CHAUSSETTE!!! I Voici deux-jours qu’elle a été portée disparue… OÙ EST-ELLE!? 😥
